Menu

Okonomiyaki: Japanese pancake with cabbage and vegetables.

Okonomiyaki is a kind of pancake containing cabbage, sprouts, green onion, but you can basically put anything you like, as its name comes from ‘okonomi’ which means ‘as you like it’. It is topped with a consistent sauce made from vegetables and vegan mayonnaise. The type of okonomiyaki I will make is the Osaka-style one and will contain flour, cabbage, green onion, tofu, Japanese yam and red ginger. If you have any requests for other ingredients, let me know so I can customize it for you:)

About Host

Alina

Hello. My name is Alina. I am studying Business Administration at Kobe University. I have been living in Japan for 4 years so I am familiar with Japanese cuisine. I became fully vegan in January 2018 and since then I have been cooking almost everyday at home. I know how challenging is to be vegan in Japan and I would like to make your stay in Japan more pleasant by providing a few home-made Japanese dishes. I look forward to seeing you in my tiny apartment:)
