Cooking Class Menu

Oden is a type of Japanese pot-au-feu, made by simmering various ingredients (called “Oden-dane”) such as daikon (Japanese radish), chikuwa (tube-shaped fish cake), and konjac (solidified jelly made of konjac potato) in a soup with soy sauce and other seasonings.

Cooking Class Information

Oden is easy cooking!! Easy to prepare ingredients. The time when the oden stews it is important.

We normally eat it in winter to warm the body, but here in Shizuoka, it is eaten as a snack among kids.

Unfortunately, my house is very inconvenient area, 1h to 1h30m from Tokyo. But!!! My house is located near to fish market in Numazu, just 10 minutes on foot. After lesson, you can visit there!! If you are lucky, you will be able to see Mt.Fuji from the beach where is 5 minutes from my house.
I hope you enjoy the Shizuoka culture and Mt. Fuji.

About Host

Nice to meet you, I'm Sanae.
I live in Numazu, Shizuoka Prefecture. Numazu is a very nice place. It's a relaxing place where you can see Mt. Fuji up close, the ocean, and the mountains. You can get there in just over an hour by taking the Shinkansen from Tokyo. My home is 2km from Numazu Station. I'll pick you up at the station. Numazu is next to Mishima Station on the Shinkansen.

Lessons are held in small groups. Even one person is OK. Would you like to make it together?

After the lesson, if you wish, we will take you to Numazu fishing port while looking at Mt. Fuji from Senbonhama.

I am looking forward to seeing you!!
