Smoke your own ham
Ham, Bacon and other smoked products with full explanation.
Tempura for lunch.
Smoking ham: Together, we’ll prepare freshly smoked ham and other foods using no chemical or artificial ingredients, coloring, or flavors with charcoal-grill. First the meat is prepped and boiled.
Japanese lunch: While the meat boils, we’ll enjoy Japanese lunch we provide. Typically Tempra.
Smoking process: Afterwards, we’ll complete the smoking process. You'll be involved every step of the way.
Optional grocery shopping tour: For those interested, we can show around the grocery store (SEIYU) to explain about Japanese ingredients.
(Optional) Freshly smoked ham to bring home: At the end of this experience, you can bring ham (or other smoked foods) to enjoy at home
Flexible dates: We are doing this experiencing for fun & networking. Feel free to ask for more dates to hold this event if you have two or more people to join.
My mother Teruko has been in the food business for over thirty years and has been food smoking for over ten. We’ve found success offering food smoking workshops to local residents, and have decided to expand our offerings to overseas guests. I'm an interpreter and local guide who speaks Japanese, English, and Chinese.
