Vegan sushi cooking in kimono
Temari sushi (colorful ball-shaped sushi), maki-zushi (sushi wrapped in dry seaweed), miso soup.
This class takes place at my house. I will dress you up in kimono (traditional clothing) first, and we will make sushi and miso soup using Japanese vegan ingredients like tofu, kelp, dried shiitake mushrooms, miso, pickled plums, and so on. I will show you how to make sushi and you will enjoy making your own sushi dish. Putting on traditional kimono and cooking sushi is going to be your special experience in Japan!
Hi! I’m Manami. I love cooking and meeting people. My husband is British and a lot of his family members are vegetarian or vegan, so I have been making vegetarian and vegan Japanese cuisine for them for many years and they love it. I know there are only a few vegetarian and vegan options in Japan, but I would like you to enjoy Japanese food culture.
