Cooking Class Menu

The below are some suggested menus to give you an idea of the types of dishes I offer. The menu might vary. If you would like to learn to make something specific, please write down on the booking page.

* MENU 1:

1. Starter (choose one):
- Chả giò - Fried spring rolls with pork, vegetables, 3 different wraps, mixed dipping fish sauce;
- Gỏi cuốn – Fresh summer rolls with pork, prawn, fresh vegetables, herbs and peanut butter dipping sauce;
- Chicken salad with cabbage, herbs and mixed fish sauce dressing; OR
- Banana blossom/green mango/ or green papaya salad with pork, prawn, herbs and mixed fish sauce dressing.

2. Main course (choose one):
- Bún bò Nam Bộ - Beef noodles salad with vegetables, herbs and mixed fish sauce dressing;
- Phở bò/gà - Beef/chicken noodle soup with spicy mix, herbs;
- Mì Quảng - Turmeric noodle soup with pork, prawn and quail eggs;
- Bò Kho - Beef stew, served with noodles or bread
- Bánh đúc mặn - Steamed rice cake with coconut milk, pork, prawn, vegetable and mixed fish sauce dressing; OR
- Phở áp chảo/ Mì xào bò - Stir-fry beef phở noodles OR egg noodles with vegetables

3. Dessert (choose one):
- Chè chuối - Banana pudding with coconut milk and peanuts;
- Taro pudding with coconut milk and peanuts;
- Sweet potato and mung bean pudding with coconut milk; OR
- Steamed rice with coconut milk and peanuts

** Menu 2 (family meal):

1. Savory dishes (choose one):
- Gà xào sả ớt/gừng - Salty chicken with lemongrass OR ginger and chili;
- Gà chiên nước mắm - Fried chicken with mixed fish sauce;
- Thịt Kho trứng - Caramelized pork and eggs braised in coconut water and fish sauce; OR
- Cơm tấm - Broken rice with pork and meatloaf.

2. Dessert (choose one):
- Chè chuối - Banana pudding with coconut milk and peanuts;
- Taro pudding with coconut milk and peanuts;
- Sweet potato and mung bean pudding with coconut milk; OR
- Steamed rice with coconut milk and peanuts

3. Vegetable soup with pork or prawn
and Cơm - Steamed rice

- Vegetarian Menu: we can make a vegetarian version of the above menus.

I specialize in authentic and healthy home-style dishes, making use of universal ingredients available the world over. I use high quality ingredients, exclusive of MSG and I can tailor traditional menus to vegetarian/vegan palates, gluten-free, lactose-intolerant or special diets, etc.

We will start from scratch. I will advise you on how best to prepare the food and guide you step by step through that cooking process with my cooking experience/tips to ensure you to get the best results. I also enjoy sharing insights into Vietnamese culture and life with you.
