MISO making workshop & Temaki Vege Sushi lunch 味噌づくりワークショップ
With Yasuko, specialist of “fermentation”, you can make your own miso (soybeans, rice koji mold, sel...) and learn about the fermented seasoning.
It will take about 1 hour to prepare Miso. You will bring home the miso (500g) with you and leave for aging process which takes about 6 months.
Yasuko will bring several kinds of miso she made last year for us to taste.
After the preparation of miso, we will enjoy the lunch [Vege sushi with some ingredients based on Koji mold and miso soup] and dessert.
Also the discussion and explication about Japanese fermented foods.
Hello & Bonjour. I've been organising the Japanese style Shojin & vegan cooking classes in English and French with several specialists. It is my pleasure to present many differents ideas and bases with which you can continue cooking when you will be back home. The class will take place at my apartement in Kamakura, known for the historical sites (Great buddha, the first zen temple, one of the biggest shrine in Japan etc). You could also go to the beach, 7 min walk from our place.
